I used the Hello Sunshine stamp set and the Scripty Hello die cut both from Lawn fawn, copic markers to color, and the "Hello" is heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Hello Sunshine!
I thought this card was appropriate with Spring (and allergies) being here already! I had so much fun making this card! I think I might make a bunch of these and put them into sets. :)

Let's get married!!
Hello everyone!! I just wanted to share my latest. I didn't realize it had been so long since I last posted, but life has kept me so busy, I haven't had much time for cards lately!
I went to a family member's wedding last month, and it was so much fun! I love spending time with my extended family, we unfortunately don't get to see enough of each other except for once every few years.
Well, here are the first wedding cards I have ever made. I tried to keep it simple and elegant. Did I accomplish that? I hope so! The only difference between the two is that one has an embossed background and one has a smooth background. I hope you enjoy seeing both! :)

Hello Baby!
I just found out this week that Kelly's teacher from last year just became a grandmother! So I made a card from the Hello Baby stamp set. The cloud is colored in with my wink of Stella glitter pen. This card seems just a little too plain, even for my taste.... I'm not quite sure what to do to jazz it up at all... :/

Winter card!!
Here is the other winter card I did! It's using a fall set, Into the woods, but I tried to put a winter wrist to it by adding a scarf and a bird from the winter sparrow set. Enjoy!
Christmas cards
I have been playing around with a couple Christmas Stamp sets I have but I didn't share the first one I made! This is the first one, and it was really labor intensive, so I'm not sure how any if those I will make. I don't know if you can see it, but the lights and the letter to Santa are both a but glittery. My favorite part of the card is the sparkly lights. I hope you enjoy!

Birthday Fun with Dogs Thank Yous
These are a simple thank you card for my daughter's birthday. I used Critters in the Dog Park for the dog and the other elements are a mixture of different stamp sets, but they are all Lawn Fawn.
I always enjoy making cards, but boy! Fussy cutting elements over and over again sure does get time consuming! :)
I really should be working on thank you cards (no fancy invites for my party, just a click or two on Facebook) for my birthday as it is coming up - this year is a milestone , but alas I find myself working on stuff for the kids as always.
Enjoy!

Birthday fun with doggies!
Hello everyone!
Since I made invitations for my son with a water creature theme, my daughter wanted invitations too! Luckily her birthday is not until early September, but these are a little more involved, so it's going to take me some serious time to make them.
I can not decide if I like the darker green grass in front or the lighter green grass in front.... Let me know what you think! :)
Most of these images from the stamp set Critters at the Dog Park, but the candles, cloud, and sun are from other sets. I added butterflies to the top one too, but I didn't realize I had taken the picture pre-butterflies!
Enjoy!!

Thanks!
Here is another card for you! I used the mini ink blending tool from Tim Holtz and various moments inks to ink the balloons. The die cut sentiment is, you guessed it, from Lawn Fawn! I die cut out five extras so I could layer them so the sentiment would stick out. That way, I wouldn't have to mess with foam tape that would stick out from behind the word. I hope you enjoy! :)

Life is good tag
Thanks for stoping by! Here is a tag using the Lawn Fawn stamp set, Life is Good. I saw one similar to this on Pinterest, but changed out the background colors and the items that are on the beach. The one thing I'm not sure about is the way i cut off the sun. I wanted to keep the shape of the star tag, but I'm not 100% sure I like it cut off. What do you think? Leave me a comment and let me know! I colored using Copic markers. I hope you enjoy! :)

Thank you
Here are the thank you cards I made for my son's birthday. I ran out of a's though, so I had to do a double stamping thing for the inside sentiment.
sorry for the sideways pictures, i can't seem to rotate the pictures.

Hippo Birdie to you!
Here is a REALLY quick card I made. I have run completely out if birthday cards, so I figured I need something quick! It's once again a stamp set from Lawn Fawn and colored with Copic Markers. I tried to give the hippo blushing cheeks, but I think it turned out too dark. Did you notice the sparkle on the blue balloon? I was hoping it would show up in the picture, but I'm not sure if it did. I swear it sparkles!
Have a great day!

Invitations
Hello everyone!
These are invitations that I made for my son's 9th birthday party. He specifically asked for me to make things sparkly and for the cake to be popped up. He even made sure to ask me to make crisp folds on my score thing!
My son knows things can be popped up on a card and to use a score thing for good folds. I have done my job. ;)

Teacher Appreciation Week
Here is a card I made for my kids' piano teacher. She is a very busy mom of four, but she always finds time to teach all of her students with the utmost respect, generosity and caring that a mom can wish for. We appreciate all the teachers that have come and gone throughout my children's educational carrier. We are truly blessed

Christmas Tree Hunting...
Card #2 was done shortly after #1. This is what I imagine myself to look like IF I actually went Christmas tree hunting... I don't have a truck and we use a fake tree every year, but in my head this is what I would look like. This was using a Penny Black stamp set 'Christmas Express' and I colored it using Copic Markers. Now please keep in mind that I am new to the whole world of stamping/card making. :)

Hello...
This is the first card I have ever made, it was made using the Papertrey Ink (PTI) set, Itty Bitty Birds. The card was made back at the end of October (around October 24th). I absolutely love this set, and this card has already been sent to a friend of mine. I just hope I can figure out how to post the picture correctly... :).
Introduction...
HELLO WORLD!!
I am really late jumping on this bandwagon, but I had every intention of doing this whole blogging thing early on. I started this blog back in 2008... It was originally intended to keep everyone up to date on my kids, it was even titled 'My Kids' but I never got around to posting, never really got it going.
Now with my latest hobby of stamping and card making, I thought I would give it another shot. Here I go!
I hope to post my creations here maybe enter a contest here and there... Just don't be shocked if you happen to get one of these Karen Originals in your mailbox or handed to you. You may get one on your birthday, wedding, anniversary, Halloween, Christmas, or just because, but there are no promises. I'm HORRIBLE about remembering dates... I'm lucky I know my own birthday.
I hope you enjoy seeing my creations! Feel free to leave comments, I LOVE comments. Thanks for visiting!!
